The Joy of Reading Program
The Joy of Reading Program helps students by utilizing key reading components. Integral to its success is a multi-sensory approach that makes learning hands-on and fun.
Each concept is introduced, followed by a lesson, practice materials, and activities. Included are six decodable short stories.

Alphabet Activity Map
Hands-on learning begins with the Alphabet Activity Mat.
The mat enables students to recognize letters and beginning, ending and medial sounds.
Phonics Deck
Included in the program are cards that teach phonics and phonemic
awareness patterns.
When students are able to recognize these patterns in words, we call it
decoding. Being able to break the code unlocks the mystery of reading
for children.
Rhyming Deck
Rhyming is a key element of learning to read. Rhyme picture cards help instill rhyming awareness in students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
Fun Board Game

Hopping to the Head of the Class is a fun game designed to help students develop a foundational schema for reading.
